About the Artist
Erich Glendale is a member of the Kwakwaka’wakw Nation. He was born in Campbell River on Vancouver Island and his family roots are from Knight Inlet on the lower west coast of mainland British Columbia, located between Turnour and Gilford Islands. Erich now resides on Tseshaht lands, Port Alberni, British Columbia. He began carving traditional northwest coast style art in 1990, working predominantly in yellow cedar, and in 2006 began engraving jewelry in gold and sterling silver.
