Tsimshian Memories

Acrylic on canvas 36x 48 by Dorothy Jarvis The totem poles of the Pacific Northwest and interior of B.C. have a special place in my heart .Growing up in Prince Rupert I learned to appreciate these majestic works of art. Each one with a different story to share The old houses are circa1900 built form wooden planks. Very few stand to-day. Only shells remain still beautiful in their simplicity. I am humbled to try and let the viewer go into the past in a dream like scene. Please take what you feel and understand the spirit in which it was painted.
